    CETIN Bulgaria CEO

    Petar joined CETIN Bulgaria as its CEO in January 2021. Before joining the organization, Petar served as Fixed Services Development Director at Telenor Bulgaria. Petar has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications sector.

  • Ivaylo Shahanov

    Network Strategy, Planning and Development Director

    Ivaylo joined CETIN Bulgaria from Telenor Common Operation where he held the position of Planning Director since 2018. Ivaylo has significant experience in both Network Planning and management and has more than 15 years of experience in telecommunications planning and network strategy.

    Nikola joined CETIN Bulgaria from Telenor Common Operation where he where he held the position of CNOC Director since 2018. Nikola has more than 20 years of experience in Operations of telecommunications.

    Commercial Director

    Lyudmila joined CETIN Bulgaria from Telenor Bulgaria, where she held the position of Senior Wholesale Expert since 2019. Lyudmila was part of the first LTE Roaming launch in Bulgaria and the launch of International voice transit service. Lyudmila has more than 10 years of experience in both the IT & telecommunications wholesale sector and management roles.

    Dimitar joined CETIN Bulgaria from Telenor Bulgaria, where he was a Senior Expert Business Continuity & Investigation since 2018. Dimitar has more than 10 years of experience in Audit, Business Continuity and Management Systems and he is also a Certified Lead Implementer ISO 22301 (BCMS).

For almost 15 years, Yoanna has used her expertise in contracts & negotiations, commercial and corporate law, intellectual property, EU law, competition, litigation, property law, public sector and local government law in the telecommunication sector.

THE HISTORY OF CETIN Bulgaria

CETIN Bulgaria was established in 2020 after a separation from Yettel Bulgaria (formerly Telenor), which enable us to respond to increasing data demands and push for improved quality of services.

The spin-off from Yettel gives CETIN Bulgaria the opportunity to focus on the infrastructure, drive and improve better long-term sustainable investments, and create innovative partnership models to achieve best service quality and efficiency.

The formation of CETIN Bulgaria is based on leveraging knowledge and learnings from the infrastructural separation between O2 and CETIN in Czech Republic in 2015.

CETIN BULGARIA NETWORK


Today, Yettel Bulgaria uses our network solely for all of its mobile technology. Our 4G and 5G equipped network covers more than 97 percent of Bulgarian highways, first and second class roads, with a maximum download speed of up to 1 Gbps (in regions where 5G coverage is available).

In order to provide exceptional service to our customers, we continue to invest in network enhancements by updating and creating additional locations.




Supported Technologies

5G

Since June 10, 2021, a 5G network has been available to all Yettel customers in Bulgaria. Since the launch, we have established coverage in hundreds of locations and developed and introduced a completely new service called Fixed Wireless Internet Access via a mobile network. Additionally, Umlaut gave the network its fifth consecutive "Best in Test" award.In 2019, along with our exclusive network partner Yettel, we introduced of a variety of 5G trials including demonstrations and tests of remote medical checkups and live concert streaming. Participants included experts from the CRC, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Transport, IT and Communications, scientists in the fields of technology and health, and others.

Going forward, CETIN Bulgaria will keep constructing, running, expanding, and developing the 5G network, enabling us to broaden our service offerings and offer ground-breaking solutions to our customers and their end users. The 5G network can reach speeds that are 10 times faster than 4G and has a 1ms latency. One of the fastest, most dependable, and most secure networks in use today is 5G.

4G & 4.5G

LTE (Long Term Evolution) technology, which was launched in December 2015 by Yettel Bulgaria (previously Telenor) and is now operated by CETIN, is the fourth generation of mobile networks (4G) and offers customers a unique experience when using services that require high data transfer speeds, as well as faster access to applications such as streaming high-definition video content (YouTube, streaming, mobile TV, etc.), music streaming, uploading and downloading.

The LTE-Advanced supporting network combines a variety of network technologies and functionalities to provide a better user experience. Through the aggregation of multiple LTE carriers, the 4.5G Network provides improved data transfer speeds, allowing consumers with compatible handsets to take advantage of more network resources.

VoLTE

Yettel Bulgaria (previously Telenor) introduced VoLTE, a voice call technology, on its 4G/LTE network in 2018. With VoLTE, you may talk on 4G while browsing on the 4G network, and you'll get better HD voice quality, faster connectivity, and longer battery life.

ViLTE

ViLTE is an expansion of VoLTE technology that enables video calling over a 4G network on supported devices. It was introduced by Yettel Bulgaria (previously Telenor) in 2019. It supports high-definition video calls and offers full SIM-based authentication security without the need for additional registration or software.

The environmental management system aims to minimize the environmental footprint of the company, by measuring, controlling and constantly decreasing the harmful environmental impact from all aspects of our activities. The areas we focus on are: responsible use of energy and other materials; recycling; offering sustainable services.

The Certificate for Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) is a proof for our success in that aspect.

Health and Safety Management System:

Health and safety of our employees is our first priority.
