CETIN Bulgaria is a provider of wholesale services, owning and operating one of the largest electronic communications networks in Bulgaria with two optical rings.

Over our DWDM network we provide upper-layer data services. Thanks to our cutting-edge communications infrastructure, best in class employees and customer driven approach, CETIN Bulgaria’s objective is to provide amiable customer journey and outstanding performance by driving sustainable technology development and anticipating tomorrow’s needs today.

CETIN Serbia is preparing in earnest for the introduction of 5G network to Serbia.

With more than 200 employees, 24/7 support and extensive infrastructure deployment, CETIN Bulgaria intends to become one of Bulgaria’s most preferred providers of wholesale services in the electronic communications domain.

Today, Telenor Bulgaria exclusively runs all of its mobile technology on our network.

With a maximum download speed up to 150Mbps (in areas where 4.5G coverage is available), our 4G enabled network covers more than 97% which is over 7,700km of Bulgarian highways and roads first and second class.

  • Petar Mudrinic

    CETIN Bulgaria CEO

    Petar joined CETIN Bulgaria as its CEO in January 2021. Before joining the organization, Petar served as Fixed Services Development Director at Telenor Bulgaria. Petar has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications sector.

  • Ivaylo Shahanov

    Network Strategy, Planning and Development Director

    Ivaylo joined CETIN Bulgaria from Telenor Common Operation where he held the position of Planning Director since 2018. Ivaylo has significant experience in both Network Planning and management and has more than 15 years of experience in telecommunications planning and network strategy.

    Operations Director

    Nikola joined CETIN Bulgaria from Telenor Common Operation where he where he held the position of CNOC Director since 2018. Nikola has more than 20 years of experience in Operations of telecommunications.

  • Lyudmila Dilova

    Commercial Director

    Lyudmila joined CETIN Bulgaria from Telenor Bulgaria, where she held the position of Senior Wholesale Expert since 2019. Lyudmila was part of the first LTE Roaming launch in Bulgaria and the launch of International voice transit service. Lyudmila has more than 10 years of experience in both the IT & telecommunications wholesale sector and management roles.

    Security Director

    Dimitar joined CETIN Bulgaria from Telenor Bulgaria, where he was a Senior Expert Business Continuity & Investigation since 2018. Dimitar has more than 10 years of experience in Audit, Business Continuity and Management Systems and he is also a Certified Lead Implementer ISO 22301 (BCMS).

    Anatoli joined CETIN Bulgaria from Telenor Bulgaria where he held the position of Senior Advisor Strategy and Corporate PMO since 2016. Anatoli has more than 20 years of experience in Strategic Finance in the telecommunications sector.

    Vessela joined CETIN Bulgaria from Hyatt Regency Sofia where she was Human Resources Director since 2019. Vessela has over 15 years of experience in various HR positions in telecommunications sector.

    Yoanna joined CETIN Bulgaria from Telenor Bulgaria where she was Legal Director. For almost 15 years, Yoanna has used her expertise in contracts & negotiations, commercial and corporate law, intellectual property, EU law, competition, litigation, property law, public sector and local government law in the telecommunication sector.

    Plamen joined CETIN Bulgaria after being Project Advisor for Huawei in Finland. Plamen has more than 13 years of international experience in managerial positions in ICT, focused on program management, transformation and sales.

THE HISTORY OF CETIN Bulgaria

CETIN Bulgaria was found in 2020 after a separation from Telenor Bulgaria, which enable us to respond to increasing data demands and push for improved quality of services.

The spin-off from Telenor gives CETIN Bulgaria the opportunity to focus on greater R&D, drive and improve better long-term sustainable investments, create innovative partnership models to achieve best service quality and efficiency.

The formation of CETIN Bulgaria, part of PPF Group, is based on leveraging knowledge and learnings from the infrastructural separation between O2 and CETIN in Czech Republic in 2015. Today CETIN in the Czech Republic the largest Czech wholesale provider of mobile and fixed electronic communications services. Its network covers 99.7% of the Czech population via fixed and mobile technologies, disseminated by more than 6.000 base stations. More than 1,6 million Czech households can connect to the CETIN network with speed which exceed 100 Mbps.

Supported Technologies

4G & 4.5G

LTE technology (Long Term Evolution), launched in December 2015 by Telenor Bulgaria (and now operated by CETIN), represents the fourth generation of mobile networks (4G) and provides customers with a unique experience in using the services which demand high speeds of data transfer, as well as faster access to applications, such as streaming of high-definition video content (Youtube, streaming, mobile TV, etc.) music streaming, uploading and downloading files, photos and other content.

LTE-Advanced supporting network is a combination of various network features and functionalities, which enable enhanced user experience. The 4.5G Network offers increased data transfer speeds through aggregation of multiple LTE carriers allowing customers with applicable handsets to benefit from increased utilization of available network resources.

VoLTE

VoLTE is voice call technology that was launched on the 4G/LTE network in 2018 by Telenor Bulgaria. With VoLTE you can speak through 4G, while continuing to browse on the 4G network and at the same time benefit from improved HD quality of the voice call, quicker connectivity and a longer battery life.

ViLTE

Introduced in 2019 by Telenor Bulgaria, ViLTE is an extension of VoLTE technology that enables video calling over a 4G network on supported devices. It allows high quality video calls, provides full security of SIM based authentication but does not require additional registration or special application.

5G

CETIN Bulgaria is actively preparing for the introduction of 5G to Bulgaria, and while there is no concrete date yet set, it is confident that it will manage the roll-out of 5G effectively and efficiently. In 2019, CETIN Bulgaria’s exclusive network partner, Telenor Bulgaria, held a series of 5G trials using 5G connectivity which included demonstrations and tests of remote medical examinations and live concert streams. Among the participants were experts from the CRC, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Transport, IT and Communications, scientists in both the technology and the health fields, media, and others.

The CETIN Bulgaria network is stable and reliable, data and privacy are secured and protected. By using the latest technology and carefully designed work processes, our network provides you with safety, in line with highest industry standards.

Recognition

In 2019 and 2020, CETIN Bulgaria’s network was awarded the certificate Best in Test after analysis of 31.9mln samples in 6 different categories.

The excellence is measured by UMLAUT, a leading international mobile network measurement company, operating in over 120 countries worldwide.

The certificate was awarded for reaching 888 out of 1000 points. It also scored the highest on best coverage for both data and voice services, best coverage for 4G and the best download speed.

Our Management Systems

Environmental Management System:

The environmental management system aims to minimize the environmental footprint of the company, by measuring, controlling and constantly decreasing the harmful environmental impact from all aspects of our activities. The areas we focus on are: responsible use of energy and other materials; recycling; offering sustainable services.

The Certificate for Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) is a proof for our success in that aspect.

Health and Safety Management System:

Health and safety of our employees is our first priority. We aim at dealing with health and safety issues at work by adopting a preventive approach, complying with national legislation and other applicable company requirements; we set objectives which we achieve by means of health and safety programs; we aim to continually improve the OH&S management system.

Information Security Management System:
