CETIN Bulgaria’s 4G and 5G equipped network covers more than 97 percent of Bulgarian highways, first and second class roads, with a maximum download speed of up to 1 Gbps (in regions where 5G coverage is available). Today, Yettel Bulgaria uses our network solely for all of its mobile technology.

In order to provide exceptional service to our customers, we continue to invest in network enhancements by updating and creating additional locations.

Supported Technologies

4G & 4.5G

CETIN Bulgaria‘s 4G mobile network coverage exceeds 99% of the population across 89% of the country’s territory, with download speeds of up to 150 Mbps in areas with 4.5G coverage and potentially higher speeds achievable by devices that support carrier aggregation.

5G

CETIN Bulgaria’s 5G network is secured by +2750 base stations, currently more than 1,000 have 5G C-band connectivity installed, covering nearly 60% of the population and providing a mobile broadband service that achieves download speeds of up to 1 Gbps. In addition to mobile broadband data services, CETIN Bulgaria’s 5G network acts as the backbone for Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and Yettel TV services. The service provides uncapped, high-speed data access with speeds of up to 300 Mbps.

VoLTE

Yettel Bulgaria (previously Telenor) introduced VoLTE, a voice call technology, on its 4G/LTE network in 2018. With VoLTE, you may talk on 4G while browsing on the 4G network, and you'll get better HD voice quality, faster connectivity, and longer battery life.

ViLTE

ViLTE is an expansion of VoLTE technology that enables video calling over a 4G network on supported devices. It was introduced by Yettel Bulgaria (previously Telenor) in 2019. It supports high-definition video calls and offers full SIM-based authentication security without the need for additional registration or software.

Fiber Optic

CETIN Bulgaria also runs its own Fiber Optic infrastructure with 2 optical rings across Bulgaria, ensuring reliable protection between all PoPs. In Sofia, after the acquisition of Sofia Communications (2021) CETIN Bulgaria operates fiber optic network with dense coverage in Sofia and its surroundings. Optical transborder connections to Serbia and Greece extend the domestic footprint.

We are one of the largest telecommunications networks across Central and Eastern Europe
