Kick-off Events

On August 8 in Plovdiv and August 12 in Sofia, CETIN Bulgaria hosted kick-off events to mark the start of the projects “Large-Scale Deployment of Digital Infrastructure in Bulgaria” for the South Central and Southwestern regions, which the company will be implementing over the next year.

At the events, CETIN’s operational team, represented by Bogdan Bogdanov, Yoanna Ilchovska, and colleagues, presented the project objectives and expected outcomes to representatives of municipalities within the two regions. The team also highlighted the tight implementation timeline and the potential challenges ahead.

A central theme of the discussions was the crucial importance of strong collaboration between CETIN and local authorities. The in-person meetings provided an opportunity for municipalities to gain clarity on the specific impact in their respective local areas.

The Monitoring and Reporting Structure team from the Ministry of Transport and Communications also attended, underscoring the close cooperation between the state and the private sector in this key area of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).

We are confident that open dialogue with both local and national authorities will be critical for the successful delivery of these projects. At the same time, this collaboration is a testament to the shared commitment of business and government to building a more connected Bulgaria—a goal that unites us and drives us forward.
